Montessori Floor Bed with Rails (Twin) Made In Canada
Montessori Floor Bed with Rails (Twin) Made In Canada
Maple
$879.00
For a child fresh out of the crib, a full twin can feel like open water. This bed keeps the twin mattress at floor level and wraps it in low rails, so there is room to grow for years, an edge to settle against at night, and an opening to climb through in the morning without waiting for anyone.
It is crafted by hand in Vancouver by Sapiens Child from maple and birch plywood, and the wood you choose above, birch or maple, changes the finish and the price, nothing else.
What you are getting
Certification, as stated by Sapiens Child
Supplied by the manufacturer. Ask us and we will request the documents for you.
Dimensions and fit
The frame sits a little longer and wider than the mattress, so measure the wall you have in mind against the overall size, not the mattress size.

Materials and certification
The frame is maple and birch plywood with rounded edges on every corner, and no plastic parts. Maple is hand varnished with subtly tinted edges. Birch comes pre finished with a clear coat that shows the grain of each plywood layer.
Sapiens Child states the bed is made with CARB 2 certified wood, the California standard for formaldehyde emissions in composite wood.
Each bed is crafted by hand in Vancouver, Canada.
Certification information is supplied by the manufacturer. Email us and we will request the documents on your behalf.
Assembly and care
Assembly is required and the manual is in the box. Two people and an unhurried hour is the comfortable way to do it. Follow the manufacturer's manual for placement, clearances and any age guidance.
Wipe the frame with a damp cloth and dry it. Check the fixings every few months and after the bed has been moved, and retighten anything that has worked loose.
Shipping and returns
Free shipping across Canada and the contiguous USA. Orders leave us in 1 to 5 business days.
No customs duty to either country.
30 days to return it from the day it arrives. Return shipping is paid by you unless the fault is ours, and there is no restocking fee.
Birch or maple
The construction, the dimensions, the standards and the weight ratings are identical. The differences are the finish and the price, shown in the picker above. Maple is hand varnished with subtly tinted edges for a lighter, more uniform Scandinavian look. Birch comes pre finished with a clear coat that shows the natural grain of each plywood layer and runs slightly warmer in tone. Neither is the wrong answer.
Send us the measurements of the room and we will tell you honestly whether this size fits before you order. hello@truelittlenorth.com
