We are a small Canadian family business making it easier for parents to build a safe, beautiful space for their little ones to play, sleep and grow.
OUR STORY
2020
True Little North began in Toronto in 2020, in the middle of a pandemic. We could not find play equipment that was safe, beautiful and built to last without paying a fortune or waiting weeks for something to clear customs. So we started making it ourselves, one wooden climber at a time.
2021 to 2023
First here in Toronto, later in Europe. It taught us an enormous amount about how these things are actually built. What makes a joint hold for five years instead of five months. Which corners get cut when nobody is looking. It also taught us something we did not expect. We were better at choosing than at building.
What families told us
They were trying to work out a whole room. The mat for tummy time. The pen that buys you ten honest minutes. The bed they can climb into on their own. One product was never the answer.
Today
We spend our time finding and vetting the best of what already exists. Canadian workshops. Korean manufacturers who publish their lab reports. A women led artisan team in Vietnam. We bring it together under one roof, ship it free across Canada, and handle the customs so you never see a surprise bill.
We are still a family business. We still answer the emails ourselves.
