This one sits a Full mattress low to the floor, so getting in and out is a step rather than a climb, and the shelf at the foot keeps books and the water cup where a child can reach them without asking.

It is handmade in Vancouver by Sapiens Child from maple and birch plywood, in a workshop rather than a factory line, and it comes in the two woods, birch or maple, chosen above.

What you are getting

A Full size floor bed at ground level Slats included and they hold the mattress directly. No box spring, nothing else to buy.

The shelf at the foot Holds 40 lbs of books, baskets and the things a child wants within reach at bedtime.

Maple and birch plywood Furniture grade hardwood plywood, not particle board. Material detail is in the drop downs below.

Water based varnish A water based finish rather than a solvent heavy coating, in your choice of birch or maple.

The frame is maple and birch plywood, furniture grade, finished with a water based varnish.

Sapiens Child states the plywood meets CARB 2 and TSCA Title VI formaldehyde emission limits, and that its materials are FSC certified.

Each bed is handmade in Vancouver, Canada.

Assembly and care

Assembly is required and the manual is in the box. Two people and an unhurried hour is the comfortable way to do it. Follow the manufacturer's manual for placement, clearances and any age guidance.

Wipe the frame with a damp cloth and dry it. Check the fixings every few months and after the bed has been moved, and retighten anything that has worked loose.

30 days to return it from the day it arrives. Return shipping is paid by you unless the fault is ours, and there is no restocking fee.
