This is the upgrade to our standard mattress, and the difference is what is inside it. Four layers rather than one foam base, built around a layer of GOLS certified organic latex, with a gel memory foam layer above it. It is 10 inches deep and crafted in Ontario.

At 10 inches it suits a frame with tall sides. On our own beds that means the Little Dreamer, which takes 6 to 10 inches. Check the depth your frame is rated for before ordering, since the other two are built around 6.

Four layers, top to bottom

Cool touch comfort layer 4 lb visco gel. A high density memory foam with gel through it, which contours and draws heat away rather than holding it.

GOLS certified natural Talalay latex The layer that makes this mattress different. Ventilated, so it breathes, and responsive rather than sinking the way foam alone does.

Transition layer High resilience soft foam. It bridges the soft top and the firm base so weight spreads instead of bottoming out.

High density foam base The structural layer. It is what keeps the mattress in shape rather than dishing over a few years.

All of it sits under a quilted cotton cover, and the set also includes a waterproof mattress cover and a bamboo infused pillow.

GOLS certified organic latex The Global Organic Latex Standard covers the latex layer. It applies to that layer, not to the foam layers or the cover.
STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX fabric Mimi Beds states the fabrics carry STANDARD 100 certification, which tests textiles for regulated substances.
CertiPUR-US certified foam That programme covers foam made without flame retardants, phthalates or heavy metals.

The Double is 53 inches rather than the 54 you may be used to, cut to match the frames it is made for. This mattress is not currently stocked in Queen.

Materials and certification

Worth being precise, because "organic" gets used loosely in this category. The latex layer carries GOLS organic certification. The three foam layers are CertiPUR-US certified, which covers what they are made without rather than organic content. The cotton cover carries STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX. So this mattress contains a certified organic layer rather than being organic throughout, and we would rather tell you that than let the word do work it has not earned.

All certification information comes from the manufacturer rather than from testing we hold ourselves. Email us and we will request the certificates on your behalf.

Care

Put the waterproof cover on before the first night rather than after the first accident. It washes, and it is what protects a mattress at this price.

Turn it head to foot every few months so it wears evenly. Follow your health care provider's safe sleep guidance on pillows and loose bedding, which comes ahead of anything we say here.

Place the bed less than 1.5 inches from the wall or at least 12 inches away, so a child cannot be trapped.

Anything climbable needs wall brackets. Bookshelves are the usual culprits.

Cover outlets, remove or secure blind cords, consider a gate at the door.

Your health care provider's requirements come first, which may mean no pillows, duvets or loose covers.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are typically shipped within 1 to 5 business days and you will get a tracking number by email. Transit time then depends on the courier, the size of the item and your address, so we do not quote a delivery date we cannot control.

What if a part is missing or damaged?

Contact us with your order number and a photo. We will arrange a repair or replacement part rather than making you return the whole item, and damage on arrival is not a case where you pay return shipping.

Can I return it?

Yes, within 30 days, unopened and unused in the original packaging, with return shipping at your expense. Full detail in our refund policy.

Can I split the payment?
