NATURAL CORK
Grippier the
harder they play
A cork surface on a natural tree rubber base. No PVC, no synthetic TPE. The grip actually improves with a little moisture, which is the opposite of how most mats behave.

WHERE CORK COMES FROM
No tree is cut down
Cork is the bark, not the trunk. It is stripped by hand, the tree carries on, and the bark grows back.
It matures
A cork oak is left alone for roughly its first 25 years before any bark is taken.
Bark is stripped
Harvested by hand from the outer bark. The tree is not felled and keeps growing.
It regrows
The bark regenerates, and the same tree is harvested again roughly every 9 to 12 years.
It goes back
Cork is a natural material and biodegradable at the end of its life.
LOOKING AFTER IT
Almost no maintenance
Because cork is naturally antimicrobial, it does not need cleaning often. When it does, that is the whole job.
- Roll cork side outAlways, so the surface is not compressed inward
- Store in shadeKeep it out of direct sun when not in use
- Wipe when neededSoft cloth, soap and water. That is it
- Spritz for gripA little water wakes the surface up in a cold room

Before you buy
Is there a latex allergy risk?
Yes, worth knowing. The backing is natural tree rubber, so natural rubber latex is a possible allergen. If anyone in the household has a latex allergy, this is not the right mat.
Why does the grip get better when wet?
Cork behaves the opposite way to plastic. Moisture activates the surface rather than making it slippery, so a light spritz of water helps in a cold or dry room.
Does it need cleaning after every use?
No. Cork is naturally antimicrobial and controls odour, so it does not need frequent cleaning. Wipe with a soft cloth, soap and water when it needs it.
What size and thickness is it?
It varies by design, since the range includes rectangular kids mats and round mats in different diameters. Exact dimensions and thickness are listed in the description above.
Is it just for yoga?
No. It works as a floor play mat, a tummy time surface, a reading corner and a stretching mat. That is why it stays in use long after the yoga phase passes.
Is it covered by a warranty?
Yes, these mats carry a 1 year limited warranty from the maker. Our own 30 day return policy applies on top of that for unopened, unused items in original packaging.
