The chair adjusts Height settings that cover roughly four to ten years, as stated by Sapiens Child. Move it up when their feet stop sitting flat.

Storage underneath A compartment beneath the desktop for books and art supplies, so the surface starts clear each time.

Optional pegboard Choose it in or leave it out. It puts supplies at their eye level rather than in a drawer they forget about.

Steel legs, wood top A steel frame under a plywood top, which is why it stays put when two of them lean on it at once.

Choosing your options

Maple or birch. Both are furniture grade hardwood plywood, built the same way and carrying the same CARB compliance. Maple is denser with a paler, more even grain and costs more. Birch has more visible figure and costs less. Neither is a downgrade.

Pegboard or not. The pegboard mounts above the desk and holds supplies within reach. Without it you get a cleaner wall and a lower price. Note that school supplies are not included either way.

White or natural edge. The desktop edge colour. Natural keeps the whole piece one tone. White gives a defined line against the wood.

Assembly, use and care

It arrives flat packed with fixings and instructions. Two people makes it comfortable rather than rushing it alone.

Set the chair so their feet sit flat on the floor and their forearms rest level on the desktop. Check it again each school year rather than waiting until they look cramped.

Set it on a flat floor. If the pegboard is wall mounted rather than desk mounted, fix it to something solid and appropriate to your wall type.

Wipe the desktop with a damp cloth and dry it rather than leaving water standing. Check the fixings every few months and retighten anything that has worked loose.
