Adjustable Toddler Tower, Wooden Kitchen Step Stool, Canadian Made Maple $399.00

Made in Canada Designed and built here by Sapiens Child, from furniture grade maple or birch plywood. Not designed here and made overseas.

A platform that brings a child up to counter height, so they can see what you are doing and take part rather than pulling at your leg while you do it.

The standing platform adjusts as they grow, and the hooks on the side take an apron or a cloth. Maple or birch plywood, light enough that a toddler can push it to the counter themselves.

Before you buy, read this

Buy this on your child's stage rather than their age. They should be able to stand steadily and climb in and out on their own before they use it.

A tower puts a child at counter height next to a stove, knives and hot liquids. It is for supervised use, and our Safety First page covers placement and supervision properly.

What you get

Adjustable platform Several standing heights. Drop it as they grow so their chest stays level with the counter rather than their chin.
Removable hooks On the side, for an apron, a cloth or a bib. They come off if you would rather they did not.
A narrow footprint Sized to stand beside a counter in a normal kitchen rather than needing a kitchen built around it.
Finished properly Rounded corners, screw holes filled and edges varnished. Assembly runs about fifteen minutes.

Materials and marks, as stated by Sapiens Child

Made in Canada Designed and built here by Sapiens Child, which is unusual enough in this category to be the reason we stock them.
CARB 2 and TSCA Title VI The plywood complies with both formaldehyde emission standards. Both are named regulations rather than vague reassurance, and both require third party certification.
Maple or birch plywood Furniture grade hardwood plywood, not particle board and not plastic.
Varnished, faces and edges Sapiens Child finish the edges as well as the faces, and fill the screw holes, which is the part most makers skip.

These are the manufacturer's statements rather than testing we hold ourselves. Our certifications page sets out exactly what we hold and what we do not.

Dimensions and fit

Measure your counter height, not just the floor space. The platform needs to sit them at a height where their chest is level with the work surface.

Send us your counter height and your child's height and we will tell you which platform setting to start on, and how long you will get out of it.

CARB 2 and TSCA Title VI explained

CARB 2 is a California regulation setting limits on formaldehyde emissions from hardwood plywood, particleboard and MDF. It requires third party certification and periodic testing.

TSCA Title VI is the US federal equivalent under the Toxic Substances Control Act. It sets national formaldehyde limits for composite wood products, closely aligned with CARB 2, and also requires third party certification and labelling.

Both apply to the plywood rather than to the finished piece. They are named standards with numbers behind them, which is why we quote them instead of saying the wood is safe.
